Built and operated production TypeScript/Node.js systems on AWS across fintech and global SaaS,
including serverless services, event-driven workflows and external integrations.

I have a slightly embarrassing pattern in my career: I join a company, discover production is harder to understand than it should be, and start building bits of Checkly.
Environment
Amsterdam · Remote-ready
Experience
8+ years

Introduced tracing, synthetic monitoring, dashboards, alerts and SLOs across distributed AWS services
using New Relic, CloudWatch and X-Ray. Result: MTTR reduced by 40%.
Yes. On-call, out-of-hours incidents, runbooks, root-cause analysis, postmortems
and debugging failures spanning multiple services and third-party providers.
Jest, Playwright, Cypress, integration testing, E2E testing, synthetic checks
and failure-mode testing for retries, timeouts, duplicate events and asynchronous workflows.
Built and launched Refario.ai, an OpenAI-powered product focused on AI-agent performance,
observability and verification. Experience includes agentic workflows, structured outputs,
tool calling and MCP.
High. Applying directly seemed like the more scalable architecture.
RESULT
All checks passing.
The less automated version: I like owning software from architecture to production, especially when observability, developer experience and reliability are part of the product rather than an afterthought. Checkly happens to sit at the intersection of most of the things I keep choosing to work on.
